At Tarien’s Realm, we strive to provide high-quality books, design services, and digital products. Due to the nature of many of our products and services, refunds are subject to the terms outlined below.

Design Services

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit may be required before work begins on custom design projects.

This deposit secures your booking and covers time spent on research, planning, and initial design concepts.

Custom Design Projects

Due to the personalised nature of custom design work, refunds are generally not available once work has commenced.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Book cover design
• Fantasy map design
• Branding packages
• Social media graphics
• Website design
• Marketing materials
• Custom illustration work

If a project is cancelled by the client after work has begun, any payments already made will not be refunded.

Project Cancellation

If Tarien van Tonder is unable to complete a project due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial or full refund may be issued at our discretion based on the amount of work completed.

Premade Covers

Before Transfer

Premade covers may be refunded within 7 days of purchase provided:

• The cover has not been customised.
• Ownership has not been transferred.
• No title or author changes have been made.

After Customisation

Once a premade cover has been customised or transferred to the purchaser, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.

Digital Products

Due to the instant-access nature of digital products, all sales are final.

This includes:

• Digital downloads
• Templates
• Graphics
• Design resources
• Digital book files

Refunds will not be issued once the product has been downloaded or delivered.

Books

Physical Books

If a physical book arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damage.

Where appropriate, we may:

• Replace the item
• Offer a partial refund
• Offer a full refund

Each case will be assessed individually.

Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can arrange a replacement.

Third-Party Websites & Retailers

Tarien’s Realm may provide links to third-party websites, retailers, marketplaces, and service providers for your convenience, including but not limited to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, Etsy, PayPal, and other online platforms.

When you click on a third-party link, you will leave Tarien’s Realm and be subject to the terms, conditions, privacy policies, and practices of that third-party website.

Tarien’s Realm does not own, operate, or control these third-party websites and accepts no responsibility for:

• The content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites;
• Products, services, or purchases made through third-party retailers;
• The privacy or security practices of third-party websites;
• Any loss, damage, or issues arising from the use of third-party services.

Any purchases made through third-party retailers are governed by the retailer’s own terms, conditions, shipping policies, and refund policies.

Change of Mind

Refunds are not available for physical books purchased due to a change of mind.

Events Beyond Our Control

Tarien’s Realm is not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by:

• Power outages
• Internet outages
• Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
